Sip of Health is the textbook entry-level alchemy potion in ESO: Natural Water plus any two reagents that share the Restore Health trait. Eight reagents carry that trait — Blue Entoloma, Bugloss, Butterfly Wings, Columbine, Crimson Nirnroot, Luminous Russula, Mountain Flower, and Water Hyacinth — and Mountain Flower + Columbine is the recipe every alchemist learns first. The Sip prefix caps the potion at level 3-15, which limits its in-combat usefulness but makes it the universal first craft for learning the alchemy system.
Where the value is
The market for Sip of Health is driven almost entirely by daily alchemy writs. Every level-50 alchemist runs writs that ask for a fresh batch each day, and the most efficient recipes include Columbine — the reagent that sits well above 800g each and accounts for almost all of the input cost. Players who don't farm Columbine themselves buy finished Sips on guild traders to skip the reagent step entirely. Demand is steady, broad, and price-anchored to Columbine; when Columbine softens, Sip of Health softens with it on roughly a one-week lag.
How to get them
Craft via Alchemy. The standard recipe is Natural Water + Mountain Flower + Columbine, which yields a clean Sip of Health with no off-trait side effects. Butterfly Wings substitutes for Mountain Flower at lower reagent cost when you have them on hand. Guild traders carry Sip of Health year-round, and the finished potion is almost always cheaper than the reagent grind if writs are the only reason you need it. The potion has no overland drop source — it's a player-crafted item end to end.
