Stonefalls is the Ebonheart Pact's starting zone — Dunmer territory on the volcanic western edge of Morrowind, adjacent to Vvardenfell across the Inner Sea. The zone is defined by its terrain: lava rivers, ash fields, Daedric ruins, and the long shadow of Red Mountain on the horizon. Davon's Watch and Ebonheart anchor the coastline while the interior runs to active volcanic flows and the scarred battlegrounds of old Chimer-Dwemer conflict. Six treasure maps are distributed across this landscape, plus a single Collector's Edition map from ESO's original 2014 launch — the same vintage as the Malabal Tor and Alik'r CE maps.
Where the value is
Three overland sets come out of Stonefalls chests: Shadow of the Red Mountain, Shalk Exoskeleton, and Silks of the Sun. Shadow of the Red Mountain is the set that moves this zone — a proc set that deals flame damage on light attack, tied closely to magicka builds that rely on consistent light attack weaving. It's been relevant in PvP intermittently since launch and picks up demand whenever flame-damage magicka builds find a competitive window. Silks of the Sun supports magicka sustain and moves steadily at lower volume; Shalk Exoskeleton is slower, aimed at niche tank builds rather than active meta demand.
The CE map shares the original 2014 supply ceiling with the other base game CE maps. No farming path, fixed pool, sourced only through player trade.
How to get them
Maps drop from standard Stonefalls zone loot — enemies, containers, and overland chests throughout the zone. As one of the original Ebonheart Pact zones, Stonefalls sees consistent traffic and the map trade is well-established; most of the standard maps move regularly through guild traders.
