Rivenspire is the northernmost Daggerfall Covenant zone in High Rock — gothic by design, built around crumbling keeps, dark marshland, and the long political shadow of House Montclair's vampire uprising. It's one of ESO's original base game zones and carries the tone consistently: Crypt of Hearts is here, along with dense forest terrain that makes navigating chest locations less straightforward than open-plains zones. Six treasure maps are spread across the zone, plus a single Collector's Edition map from the original 2014 launch.
Where the value is
Three overland sets drop from Rivenspire chests: Darkstride, Necropotence, and Vampire Cloak. Necropotence is the reason this zone matters to the market. It's a cornerstone magicka set for pet Sorcerer builds — increasing max magicka for each active pet — and has held demand since launch without a significant break. Pet Sorcerer remains one of ESO's most-played PvE builds, which means Necropotence moves consistently rather than episodically. When the build has a strong meta window, prices climb; it rarely sits completely cold.
Darkstride serves PvP stamina builds focused on movement speed and gap-closing. It trades on meta cycles — when speed builds are competitive it moves well, otherwise it sits. Vampire Cloak is narrower still, targeting vampire-specific playstyles.
The CE map holds the standard original-launch scarcity floor.
How to get them
Maps drop from enemies, containers, and overland chests across Rivenspire. The zone's terrain — dense forests, elevated keeps, winding paths — means farming loops require more navigation than flatter zones, but the map trade is active and well-established given the zone's age.

- Map I: East of Crestshade Wayshrine, near the rock cliffs and waterfall, beside a tree
- Map II: West of Tamrith Camp Wayshrine, near Aesar's Web
- Map III: Just above the small falls in Fell's Run
- Map IV: Southeast, at the Crypt of Hearts dungeon entrance — to the left, by a pillar
- Map V: East of Boralis Wayshrine, near the river spring
- Map VI: Northwest of Staging Grounds Wayshrine, behind the stone arch gate on the path to Erokii Ruins
- CE Map: Northeast of Northpoint Wayshrine, near the rocks on the beach
